Inducting staff
Supervisors and managers are legally responsible for ensuring that the staff and students they supervise are protected from risks to their health and safety. Thoroughly inducting staff to the work area(s) under their control is part of this responsibility.
There are a number of tools to assist you with the induction process:
The local safety and wellbeing induction checklist can be customised to address the health and safety procedures, activities and hazards in their work area. Each work area will have its own specific items to be added to the checklist by managers and supervisors.
