Creating labels using Chemwatch

Chemwatch can show you the correct information to go onto a label for a substance that you have decanted into a container yourself of 500mL/g or less (e.g. bench reagent).

  • Search for the substance as described above.
  • Next to the name of each substance returned on the search list is a "LABEL" icon. Click on the icon next to the substance that you were searching for.
  • From the list of label types shown, select the "Tiny 30 labels per A4/legal page" toward the bottom of the page. The label template opens in a new window.
  • Select the content of the window and paste into a document that you can format and save e.g. in Windows, click in the frame with the labels, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C), then paste into a document (Ctrl-V).
