Office and general areas
While office areas are relatively safe, accidents and injuries do occur. Often incorrect lifting technique, poor office housekeeping or inappropriate workstation set-up are to blame.
Office and general areas safety at UTS
Supervisors and managers of office environments must ensure that risks to health and safety are adequately managed.
All staff and students are required to report hazards, accidents and incidents and take remedial action as soon as practical.

Office and general areas safety training
Safety & Wellbeing can conduct group training sessions, for 10 or more people, covering:
- appropriate workstation set up, and
- correct manual handling techniques.
These sessions can be offered at times of relocation or refurbishment - a great time for a refresher.
